Working Hours:
Day shifts and night shifts are scheduled on a rotating basis among 3 supervisors. 1 month of night shift and 2 months of day shifts.

- Oversee operations at Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s Vehicle Processing Center.
- Lead continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost -efficient work environment that meets performance targets.
- Responsible for promoting and helping develop a culture of a safe work environment for all employees and visitors through compliance with the WWS Health & Safety policies and provincial legislation.
- Responsible for promoting a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication.
- Within your area of responsibility, investigate any accidents, incidents and/or near misses, to ensure actions are be taken to prevent future incidents. Lessons learned are documented and shared and all reporting is completed timely and accurately.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of current practices.
- Coordinate with leads to ensure organization of daily work for the crew.
- Foster an environment of positive employee relations and employee involvement.
- Perform corrective actions if needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years supervisory and employee relations experience, with a focus on strong leadership and relationship building skills.
- Background working in a unionized environment.
- SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
- Assembly line operation, with emphasis on automotive or mechanical applications.
- A valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
- Excellent time management skills in an ever changing and fast paced environment. Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities to a successful conclusion through strong planning, excellent verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a team focus.
- Must be customer centric and service driven.
- Thorough attention to detail and follow up.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
