Hospitality Operations Manager

Salary on appointment will be £21,761 per annum with an annual increment up to £23,144 per annum.
Are you looking for the chance to help develop the UEA’s hospitality offering, from delivered morning coffee to working lunches to fine dining?
UEA Catering Services (https://www.uea.ac.uk/uea-life/campus-life/eat-and-drink) are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Hospitality Operations Manager to take the lead of the Hospitality function within the University’s busy Catering Department.
You will coordinate the operation of all aspects of delivered hospitality, functions, conference catering and fine dining events, and will enjoy ensuring consistency in the setup, delivery and execution of the event / service.
You will be responsible for overseeing a dedicated team of regular staff and casual staff, ensuring that your team are motivated, trained and developed to meet the highest level of customer care and service.

You will be familiar with an ‘all hands-on deck’ style of catering or hospitality operation, with a strong enjoyment of team work and a fulfilling sense of achievement at the end of a busy day.
You’ll be good with day-to-day reactive management of operations, the team, stock management, and other elements of delivered catering, and will enjoy perfectly presenting deliveries and catered functions.
Outstanding customer service will be one of your strong points, and with this job, you’ll enjoy a number of (unusual for our trade) perks that come with employment at the UEA.
You will also have the chance to cover Duty Manager shifts, which involves the overseeing and daily management of 11 outlets consisting of a wide range of concepts from barista coffee shops to a street food style service restaurant.
