We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a talented Operations Manager - Translation to join our Netherlands team! The role will be predominantly working from home however, we do like to meet in person from time to time so there is a requirement to attend the office a minimum of once per month and on an ad-hoc basis for meetings, training etc.

The Dutch Translation Operations team is dedicated to the Netherlands Region of thebigword and is responsible for forging relationship with our client and our freelancers. We ensure that only the best are recruited for our projects, and onboarded efficiently and work closely with them to ensure they can perform their role to the best of their ability. Client experience is at the heart of what we do! Not only is the Operations team responsible for the ongoing project management of our clients in the Netherlands but also for providing expert knowledge, guidance and market intelligence to the Netherlands sales team for new opportunities.

As a Operations Manager - Translation you will:
  • Be the main point of contact for the Netherlands Regional Manager .
  • Work closely together with the Dutch Interpreting Operational Manager.
  • Conduct monthly 1-2-1 meetings with the team.
  • Recruit, manage, coach and develop the Operations team, ensuring the skillsets align to tasks appropriately.
  • Lead a team of Project managers to ensure deadlines and priorities are met.
  • Document and update processes ensuring easy access for the whole team.
  • Constantly review processes to identify efficiencies/improvements to drive a better customer and candidate experience.
  • Provide expert knowledge and understanding to key stakeholders of policies, processes and compliance requirements across all contracts within the Region.
  • Ensure the consistent application of systems and processes and best practices globally.
  • Lead internal / external meetings as the key contact for the Operations Team making sure required updates are filtered through to the wider team.
  • Interpret and analyse MI Data to make decisions for the Operations team, including risk and trend anlaysis.
  • Monitor the costs within the team at all times thinking about the Gross Margin of the Netherlands clients.
  • Drive campaigns and initiatives to be delivered by the team.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to find and catch new opportunities in your market.
  • Lead Gross Margin improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver a positive brand image at all times.
