We are currently seeking a strong candidate to represent Source Atlantic in one of our western branches (Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina), as an:
Regional Operations Manager
Reporting to the Supply Chain and Operations Director, the Regional Operations Manager in this exciting role will manage all aspects the region branches and all departments: including generating revenue and controlling costs.
To be successful in this role, the candidate should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Plan, organize, direct and control the operations of 5 sales branches
- Achieve budget and Results for the Region
- Physical understanding of the branch appearance and operating effectiveness with regular visits to the branch
- Provide plan to achieve improvements, and engage the team for achieving the plan
- Set operation policies and standards consistent with those of the organization including safety procedures and ensure compliance with regulations
- Develop and control the company/department budgets, including inventory and assist in fiscal direction of the company
- Hire, motivate and manage staff
- Monitor the company performance, prepare reports for management and plan for changes to policies
- Locate, appraise and negotiate property leases, as well as inspect properties to ensure they meet operating standards.
- Provide necessary updates and reports to the Director of supply chain and Operations
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or industry and/or distribution experience
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience with 3-5 years’ managerial experience
- Continuous Improvement background and experience would be an asset
- Technologically inclined, with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast paced, results oriented environment
- Must have strong analytical skills
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills with ability to mentor/coach
- Effective Time management and problem solving skills
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
