Job description
As one of the largest national providers of Traffic Management Services within the UK, RTS have over 150 employees delivering a quality service 24/7. RTS cover all aspects of Traffic, Event & Site infrastructure management including consultancy, planning, drawing and delivery, via a national network of service centres. Now, due to continued growth, we are expanding our teams with new roles to support our customers.
We are seeking a driven and proactive manager for our Operational Planning Department (Reactive Team). The role will require strong leadership skills with a proven track record in logistical planning.
About the Role
- The successful candidate must make concise decisions in a fast paced environment and empower the teams they are responsible for.
- Managing a busy team, this is a leadership role in which you will lead your team to constantly meet crucial deadlines.
- The successful applicant will be responsible for the safety, cost, delivery and people.
- You will have the direct responsibility of meeting the department’s KPIs and reporting back to Senior Management weekly.
- Full training will be provided for our in-house bespoke system.
- Applicants will be expected to show a degree of flexibility to enable them to meet the specific requirements of the role.
About You
- You have previous managerial experience.
- You have a proven track record in a service delivery industry.
- You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- You are an excellent communicator and have key problem solving skills.
- You can make key decisions in a sometimes high pressured environment.
- Ideally you have previous logistical planning experience.
- Ideally you have knowledge of the traffic management industry.
Full Time: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (42.5 hours per week)
Annual Holiday Entitlement: 28 days inclusive of bank holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £33,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
