Parcel Pending by Quadient automated electronic parcel locker systems enable our customers to securely load, store and distribute large volumes of both inbound and outbound parcels. The easy-to-use interface allows our customers to track each parcel’s journey and then notify recipients of the arrival of their parcel. Pickup and Drop Off takes only seconds and lockers are accessible 24/7, meaning no more missed deliveries and fewer journeys for parcel carriers which in turn reduces CO2 and Particulate emissions, improving air quality and easing congestion in our urban areas.
Globally the Parcel Pending by Quadient brand for Parcel Lockers is growing fast, and has just been launched in the UK & I. Parcel Pending by Quadient now manage in excess of 11,000 automated parcel locker locations.
Quadient have created a joint venture with the largest parcel Carrier in Japan, Yamato, called PackCity Japan. Currently PackCity Japan has delivered 5,500 locker locations around Japan and has a target to be at 14,000 locations by the end of 2022.
Reporting to the Project Director of PLS, this role is responsible for:
- The new installation of parcel lockers
- The Install, functionality, support, of the deployed locker network.
- Process setup for the operation team
- Manage the services contracts (installation, support, supply chain…)
- Manage the suppliers and contracts
- Manage the KPIS for Operation activity with 3rd party suppliers
- Responsible of the installation
- Machine order
- Site survey planning
- Machine creation inside the system
- Manage the delivery from customisation center to the customer
- Installation
- Other activities needed for the installation (stickers, training…)
- Validation of installation and standards
- Responsible of the Operation
- Machine Roll out and planning
- Monitoring of the installed machines
- Modification of machines (retrofit)
- Deinstallation / refurbish#
- Customer liaison
- Invoicing validation
- Weekly/monthly network updates (in partnership with technical departments)
The Operation Manager works jointly with:
- Large customers
- Subcontractors
- Different entities of Quadient Group
- The internal teams:
- Site acquisition Managers
- Operation team
- Finance
- Supply Chain
- Field Engineering
- Other services when needed
About You
- Customer/business focused and commercially astute
- Good communicator at all levels
- Organized and independent
- Great attention to detail
- Experience of building teams
- Highly Experience in operation management
- Experience of large-scale machine deployment
- Knowledge of logistic, Supply Chain, e-business
- Be able to support multi-million-pound contracts
- Be able to set processes and organization inside a team
- Proven ability to create a new operation from scratch
- Proven ability to articulate the unique selling points of Parcel Products and services.
- German speaking would be a great advantage
