Your Mission:
Optimize the service delivery, client experience, company profits, hiring, revenue growth, and business infrastructure to achieve the company’s business objectives. Complement the skill sets of the Founding CEO to work in parallel as teammates.
Objectives of this Role:
- Lead services team to deliver white glove services that grow our client's revenue and profits
- Implement and maintain organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and monthly operating planning.
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture and ensuring team members' career growth while organizational objectives are met.
- Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, strategy, and hiring needs.
- Translate organizational vision and strategy into actionable revenue goals for growth and profits.
- Maintain effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention of all team members.
Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Manages the senior leadership team, including VPs and Directors in Client Services and Partnerships.
- Provides strong leadership, management, and people development to the teams with a focus on workflow, efficiency, and growth—Motivates team members to achieve business objectives.
- Directs the team's activities to maintain effective and efficient operations while ensuring compliance with established standards and practices and meeting critical deadlines.
- Leads the team management to include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training staff; directing, coaching, developing, inspiring, and mentoring staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluation and review of team members; staff rewards. Oversees conflict, problem resolution, and discipline in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Duties:
- Partners with the CEO to develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives, successfully meet all current agency needs and determine needs to maintain 50% year-over-year revenue growth for the next 3 years.
- Collaborates with the CEO and Senior Leadership in setting and driving organizational vision, operations, strategy, and human resource needs.
- Translates strategies across all areas of Operations into measurable and achievable goals. Analyzes internal operations and identifies areas of process enhancement.
- Partners with the CEO to manage P&L, develop an operating budget, and engage senior leadership in a deeper understanding of the organization's financial and budget process.
Desired skills, talents, and experiences needed to create amazing results
- 15+ years of digital and operations experience at a fast-paced MarTech, analytics, or revops agency.
- 10+ years experience in management positions
- 5+ years experience leading financial performance of a custom integrations and services delivery organization
- 4+ years experience in C-level positions
- Experience working within a Marketing Technology, Analytics, IT Consulting, Marketing or Rev Ops agency
- Deep understanding of the marketing technology landscape, products/services, information architecture, and technology platforms.

Job Description:
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will oversee the day-to-day operations of the services/delivery teams and the financial performance of McGaw. In addition to establishing consistent processes, procedures, and workflows, they are responsible for identifying the tools needed to optimize profits, build effective departmental workflows, and ensure an amazing experience for both clients and staff. Using well-founded business judgment and strategic thinking, the COO develops and nurtures relationships with clients and within McGaw to foster radical candor and team cohesion.
The objective of the role is to collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs. As the COO, you will translate strategy into organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
You will oversee company business operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture, ensuring team members thrive, and achieving organizational outcomes. Ensuring effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention will be a key focus.
It is important that you make sure McGaw adheres to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
You have a deep understanding of the marketing/revenue/analytics/data technology landscape. You have a clear idea of how business/revenue strategy, tied with the tech stack, increases revenue and will partner with the client services team and their clients to create positive and profitable outcomes for both the client and Mcgaw.
The CEO will own sales, marketing, and new customer acquisition. You will support the CEO with sales/revenue growth oversight of the sales director expanding current client projects. The COO will lead in financial forecasting and budgeting for sufficient investment capital to achieve growth targets.
You will use your strong financial and accounting knowledge to develop an operating budget and engage senior leadership in a deeper understanding of the company's financial and budget process.
To be successful in this role, you will need to effectively lead, manage, and inspire teams to achieve business objectives, develop and implement business strategies, optimize processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, manage the company's finances, and quickly adapt to changing business environments.
During your first month, you will be trained by the CEO on how our business runs, learn the company values and do information meetings with the team. Your overall objective in the first month is to learn how our client delivery process works from sale to renewal, learn the history of the business, get introduced to team dynamics, and understand our industry and how to partner closely with the CEO. To see your measurable output by the end of your first month, refer to the observable indicators section.
During your first three months, you will be trained on how we deliver our services and build a list of observations for things you might want to change. You will work closely with internal team members to validate your ideas and build a priority list of actions you feel we should take to reach business goals.
You will be responsible for building a hiring plan and financial forecast with budgets to accelerate revenue and profitability and removing the CEO from all services/delivery functions. As part of this process, you will begin to take ownership and accountability for the management team, management meetings, and OKR planning/accountability. For specific results by the end of your 3rd month, you can refer to the observable indicators section.
During your second three months, you will be acting on your previous hiring plans and updating organizational charts and financial planning to enable the doubling of the company's revenue in the next 12 months. You will partner with the CEO to refactor and optimize the company's 3-year plan to create 50% YoY minimum revenue growth. With a large focus on improving the sales to services hand, improving labor efficiency, and project efficiency/profitability.
After your first six months, you should be fully running the services team and business operations, enabling the CEO to focus 100% of their time on sales, marketing, and recruiting.
