Responsibilities:Reporting into our General Manager you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team who are responsible for driving and delivering against strategy and driving continuous improvement to delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Drives production standards of the factory through leadership, direction, and support to the factory production team.
Works with the site leadership team to deliver strong operations performance across a balanced scorecard - People, Quality, Value, Service, Safety (people and food)
Delivers budget and performance to standard for operations (production, logistics) across multiple shifts, ensuring audit readiness at all times
Manages the implementation of the sites Operational Improvement Plan working to ensure the site meets its cost efficiency targets
Provide leadership on H&S, focusing on safe working practices, and driving a safety-first culture.
Liaise with Technical to ensure that all product leaving is of the highest quality
Develop and implement KPI to measure and manage performance
Manage, coach and lead direct reports; prioritising workloads covering factory output and deliver consistent ways of working across all shift patterns
Suggest and discuss modifications to improve throughput, increase efficiencies and reduce costs using continuous improvement methodology.
Challenge the ‘status quo’ in a professional an inclusive manner
Establish and drive Best Practice across all areas of the site, sharing lessons with other site managers.
Skills & Experience
Experienced operational manager in a food production environment
Good understanding of engineering and mechanical issues in a food production environment
Strong people manager with a track record of managing performance and developing others through coaching
Motivated and results driven, with the ability to inspire others to deliver
Strong team player
Excellent attention to detail
