About Leonard Cheshire
One in five people in the UK will become disabled in their lifetime.
For nearly 75 years, we have worked directly with disabled people to give them the freedom to live their lives the way they choose with the opportunity to fully take part in society. Today, our 4,000 staff provide social care services support to help over 2000 disabled people across the UK.
In addition to offering high-quality care and community support, we lead campaigns to influence government to implement legislation that positively benefits the lives of disabled people. As well as fighting for disabled people’s rights, we work with partners to deliver support and life-changing programmes.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to manage all aspects of service delivery, including the quality and financial performance of a specified geographic area of our social care services. You will also ensure that all financial, quality, health and safety, regulatory and other agreed individual targets and performance measures are achieved, delivering high quality, person-centred care to our customers.
You will line manage a group of Service Managers and the deliveries of their teams, contribute to the development of organisational strategy, as well as identify and support opportunities for growth and diversification within the strategy of the organisation.
You will ensure that Leonard Cheshire remains in contact with and reacts appropriately to specific policies and legislation and take a lead role in raising the Charities profile and reputation in the specified patch.
About You
You will have management experience within the social care field, particularly in multi-site management, and have experience of ensuring all individual targets and performance measures are achieved. You will also have an understanding of and commitment to delivering outcomes for people with disabilities and be familiar with current social care policy issues.
With experience of setting budgets and establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), you will be able to evidence delivery of financial performance in line with budget. It is also key that you are able to form positive relationships with customers, staff, commissioners, regulators, volunteers and other internal and external stakeholders.
