Summary
We would like to extend a warm welcome from all pupils, staff, governors and trustees of Rhyddings.
Rhyddings serves the East Lancashire old mill town of Oswaldtwistle and surrounding area of Hyndburn. It has been at the heart of the community for 90 years and although a smaller than average high school we cater for pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds. The school enjoys good transport links via the M65 corridor and adjoining networks of M6 and M66. The school has been in a period of transition, having returned to our permanent site following a £10 Million re-development, back in the heart of our community.
This vacancy is due to the current post holder moving to a new position in finance.
We are seeking, as part of the LET Education Trust, to appoint a School Operations Manager to our growing staffing body. You will be joining a strong team of likeminded professionals and will work closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Chief Operations and Chief Finance Officers of the Trust.
Managing the administrative and premises teams, premises management, Health and Safety, aspects of HR and finance this is an exciting role for the right candidate, whether from an educational or commercial background. You will be well supported and inducted by the central trust team of experts, senior leaders at the school and will contribute to SLT operation and strategic decision making.
The SLT team consists of the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher three Assistant Headteachers and Associate Senior Leader. All have discreet job roles but contribute equally to the holistic leadership of the school. The local governing body also support the team.
The nature of the specific role for School Operations Manager is included in the job description and person specification.
Together we are mutually supportive and provide a holistic approach to many of the administrative and support functions and roles within school.
Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
Please note CVs are not accepted, to apply for this vacancy you need to complete the application form attached.
Please note that this vacancy closes at 12 noon on 10/07/2023
