About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to lead operations at our newly opened Distribution Centre and Embroidery Facility. The successful candidate will have profound knowledge of operations within a DC and would preferably have experience of running a production/embroidery facility. You will lead the team and coordinate in all aspects of production, fulfilment, and customisation. With this being a newly opened facility, this is a great opportunity to create new processes which will assist the team to fulfil the company goals.
Main Tasks 70%
· Oversee daily operations at embroidery and distribution centre.
· Organise the storage, customisation and re-distribution of goods ensuring product receiving and delivery to the right location on time.
· Manage transportation, stock control, warehousing, flow of goods, cross-docking, order fulfilment, and packaging.
· Organise product storing, as well as product mixing within the DC.
· Establish strategic plans, policies, and procedures to ensure that custom apparel is received and shipped complete and on schedule.
· Identify, investigate, prioritise, and implement multiple concurrent processes and improvement projects to drive customer satisfaction and business productivity.
· Supervise daily production and quality control to ensure apparel is customised using the most efficient and effective state of the art means to meet/exceed customer expectations.
· Meet production goals while maintaining labour productivity, quality, and lead-times.
· Troubleshoot production issues such as machine, computer, personnel, product, and raw material issues so that down time is minimised, and lead times are maintained.
· Support in the supervising of embroidery operation of machinists, finishers, and packers, ensuring team performance is met, company policies and procedures are followed, and assignments are prioritised.
· Ensure proper re-packaging to ensure highest standards and presentation to the KJUS customers.
Other Tasks 30%
· Train, monitor and evaluate individual performance and delegate specific job duties or tasks to staff and step into the position of machine operator in times of need.
· Maintain all health and safety standards within the department. Responsible for employee schedules, vacations, and any leave of absence requests.
· Create an inspiring team environment and motivate team members with an open communication culture.
· Set clear team goals, monitor team performance, discover training needs, and provide coaching.
· Develop department budget and cost controls ensuring marketplace competitiveness.
Your Profile
· 5 years of supervisory experience is required.
· Experience in all aspects of an operation: set up & implementation, leadership, and experimentation.
· Supervisory of a custom embroidery operation ideal.
· Strong leadership skills required to drive team, process, and capability development.
· Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and other Process/Control Methodologies preferred.
· Excellent Communication Skills with effective Interpersonal and Presentation Skills.
· Working knowledge of multi-head embroidery machines and warehouse management systems (Netsuite an advantage)
· Excel/Word/Access Proficiency required.
· Troubleshooting various computer programs on mechanical, functional & material testing apparatus a plus.

Salary: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
