This specialist consultancy specialises in helping companies within a variety of industries to understand and analyse market opportunities within the leisure and tourism industry.
The Role:
The role of research analyst involves conducting a combination of primary and secondary research in order to understand existing and potential opportunities within the leisure and tourism industry. You could be working with governments to help analyse the opportunities for visitor attractions within their country, analysing demographics, tourism markets and bench-marking against similar world-wide attractions.
There is a strong opportunity to travel as this role develops, as well as opportunities to move into a more client facing role in time.
We are able to consider both fresh graduates and those with relevant commercial experience. The salary on offer for this position is £25-30K depending on experience. Furthermore, this role is open to those who can start ASAP and in September 2022.
Key Responsibilities Could Include:
- Desk based research e.g. into demographics or populations
- Analysis of different tourist markets
- Visiting attractions e.g. theme parks and hotels
- Global market analysis
- Occasional telephone based research and face to face interviews
- Conducting statistical analysis
- Potentially some financial analysis
- Benchmarking
- Report writing
Requirements:
- A 2:1 level (or equivalent) or predicted in a subject with a strong research component e.g. economics, psychology, social research, business, finance etc.
- A strong desire for a career in consultancy
- Excellent writing ability
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Logical mindset
- Some experience with Excel would be an advantage
- Any experience or internships within a research or consultative environment would be a bonus
- An interest in the entertainment and leisure industries, as well as real-estate would be highly beneficial
