We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible business development manager. You are a self-starter who can assist in implementing new market opportunities while supporting the existing business operations. This role involves working closely with the CEO, and includes:
- Negotiating contracts with existing and new electronics manufacturers to support our existing and new products
- Monitoring product stock levels and schedule manufacture to meet projected customer demand and ensure our products are in stock
- Managing our internal stock if integrated circuits (ICs) to ensure we always have a pipeline of chips ready, without overinvesting cash
- Monitoring supplier performance and implement QA and testing processes to ensure our product quality stays high
- Managing payments to suppliers to ensure we get the best terms but the supplier is also paid on time
- Managing general finances and cash flow to ensure the company stays financially healthy
- Preparing reports of company performance for the CEO to use with pitching to investors
- Assisting our accountant and bookkeeper with quarterly VAT returns and claiming R&D Tax credits
- Quoting, invoicing and payments management from customers to achieve high profit margins without disincentivizing larger orders
- Reach out to new potential customers who reach out to us
- Provide stellar customer service to existing customers
- Speaking with customers to learn about their applications and identify new opportunities for us to provide value
- Assisting in documenting and shipping components to suppliers and products to customers
- Managing basic SEO and marketing for the website, and directing the creation of new content on the BigCommerce platform.
- Monitoring the page views of the website and notifying the developer of any potential issues
- Documenting company processes on Notion to help develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to keep a later work schedule from 11am to 7pm
- Occasional ability to work at later hours on urgent customer service issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- A desire to understand the electronics industry on a deeper level
- A flexibility to solve a wide range of problems

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £33,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
