The Opportunity
The purpose of the Site Operations Manager role is to manage a specific multi-disciplined fixed term Maintenance contract in line with the expectations set out below and the KAEFER mission to be the most reliable and efficient provider of technical industrial services; in accordance with the KAEFER values of colleagueship, result orientation, professionalism, reliability, respect and trust.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Manage all activities within the contract to ensure contract delivery, SHEQ compliance, and colleague experience for the site
- Manage strict, safety, quality and compliance management for all activities in the contract, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with all statutory requirements and corporate policies and procedures including but not limited to, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and Employment legislation
- Engage and demonstrate personal and visible leadership with the workforce and with the customer
- Continuously adapt teams to meet changing customer demands as individual projects or tasks end and others begin
- Support the team to manage the people development and succession planning to ensure opportunities are created and essential skills sets are retained
- Responsible for all day to day contract decisions within the contract ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and maintain service excellence
- Support the Head of Operations to identify, assess and provide mitigation for operational risks within the contract and ensure these are monitored and managed
- Support the Operations team with information (KPI’s) such as safety, financial performance, governance, people performance and customer satisfaction. Input into reports to the Head of Operations
- Manage and monitor the financial exposure and expenditure of the contract and maintain within the authorised budget and government leads
- Support the head of operations to deliver contract growth availing of future opportunities that align with KAEFER’s core offerings and the client needs
The Person
The ideal candidate for the role will be a proactive manager who is continuously active in seeking to make the best decisions for benefit of the client and KAEFER, as well as being an influential and effective communicator.
Essential:
- Proven record of managing similar contract(s) within the job dimensions of an Operations Manager
- Technical in-depth knowledge of the industry, including standards and regulations
- Demonstrate experience of client management at a contract level
- Direct experience of the markets that KAEFER operate within
- Direct experience of multi-disciplinary services or similar equivalents
- Can demonstrate successful implementation of continuous improvement and implementation of LEAN practices
Desirable:
- NVQ3/ Project Management Qualifications(s)/ or experience equivalent
- Trade qualifications
- IOSH managing safety or equivalent
- CRM/SRM
