Job description
The Team
We're a small team of talented people with a mission to provide clean energy from the built environment at scale with simplicity, transparency, and savings. We are hiring quickly and consciously and as an early-stage hire, you're going to make an impact. The scope of this opportunity is massive given the rate of growth of C&I solar. Come and help us create a new energy asset class from the built environment.
What you'll do
You will manage the full life cycle of distributed energy, for C&I solar + energy storage projects ranging in size from 500kW to 20MW. This means everything from ensuring a grid connection, planning, procurement, installation, and managing operations ensuring each phase of a project is done on time and within budget. Manage the deployment, engineering, procurement, and construction of multiple solar + energy storage projects. Prequalify and work with subcontractors and EPCs to create a network of preferred partners. Work with many internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects have achievable scope and timeline requirements. Coordinate key activities necessary to result in on-time project delivery within budget, including technical design, equipment specification, procurement, and appropriate software control applications. Coordinate with the team to maintain continued alignment with high-level company objectives and workflows. Your ability to execute efficiently, and allocate the right resources, to the right areas, at the right times is critical. In addition, you will be the point of contact for suppliers, vendors, and even authorities. An important part of this role is identifying the clunky parts for the roll-out of new onsite C&I solar generation and communicating that to the product team. With the objective of identifying how we can speed up the process and reduce costs over time.We now have a significant pipeline of onsite C&I solar at various stages, including some that will shortly enter the construction phase. So you will be hitting the ground running and managing to get these sites commercially operational.

An understanding of power systems, distribution network operators, electrical grid & smart grid concepts. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and push tasks to completion. One main ingredient is the hunger and willingness to get your hands dirty with the details.
