Main Objective
Meet the Business and expectations with regard to the Cost Centre by ensuring continued productivity gains while meeting Customer satisfaction in terms of QDC (Quality, Delivery and Cost) within the HSE requirements outlined by the business. Supporting broader group initiatives and look to position the Business as best in class.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Together with the other members of the KLT (Key Leadership Team) establish short term and long-term objectives and corresponding strategies describing how to reach them.
- Deploy a full Policy of Deployment (PDM) structure from higher level PDM’s clearly defining and communicating objectives and strategies within the organisation.
- Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes (Forecast).
- Balance short-term cost against long-term objectives.
- Direct and support the preparation of specifications for quality, quantity, delivery and service required for purchase of plant equipment, supplies and materials to meet production schedules and quality standards whilst utilising indirect functional departments.
- Establish an effective and highly qualified organization and continuously develop individuals to support succession planning and skill requirements.
- Create a Company culture and attitude that supports the organisation’s ability to meet the expectations from all stakeholders.
- Follow all established Honeywell guidelines within functional areas like Finance, HR and HSE.
- Ensure global operational footprint is appropriate to meet the long term goals of the BA.
- To ensure observance of the quality management systems.
- Formulate and install standard manufacturing practices based on comparative studies of methods, costs and production figure ensure best practice.
Co-ordinate regular team reviews to make sure that the necessary corrective actions are being taken on the basis of sufficient analyses and expert knowledge. To arrange in order of priority and to allocate resources to meet the short-term and long-term objectives.
Personal Tasks
In addition to the tasks described under section 3, the personal duties include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the KLT in the day-to-day operation the site through internal reviews, KPIs and established plans.
- Support the purchasing and R&D organizations with resourcing, dual sourcing and NPI.
- Together with the other Staff, as required, prioritize projects, set concrete targets with robust follow up.
- Implement and maintain a common lean organization, which supports the Lean Strategy.
- Implement and develop common lean tools and methods.
- Continuously search for operational improvement, best practices and optimized equipment utilization within the Business Unit.
- Identify, quantify and qualify all Capital Expenditure necessary to maintain competitive operations and achieve profitable growth.
- Be an active member of the KLT in the facility and be a key contributor in and continuously developing the company.
- Support the hire and development of key people within Operations and other functions.
- To report in accordance with normal reporting routines but also to report on events and situations for which no reporting routine exist.
