Division info:
The Aerostructure Market of Héroux-Devtek focuses on a complete line of precision machined structural components and assemblies, from simple aluminum parts to large monolithic five-axis complex components.

Summary of position:
The Operations Manager has full leadership accountability regarding the performance on all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, and cost for the operations at Heroux-Devtek Magtron and managing the daily production & improvement aspects of the site.

This role also oversees the day-to-day activities to ensure daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly budget expectations are met; in addition to Supplier Management and managing Facilities and Maintenance.

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and monitor daily production plan based on customer orders and

communicate priorities.

• Monitor profitability of projects/products against budget, identify and manage project

risks and apply corrective action as required.

• In collaboration with the management team, develop an annual operating budget and

lead monthly review and forecasting activities to ensure operational readiness, capacity, and operational use.

• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the quality of plans/drawings developed.
• Implement and monitor performance indicators.
• Ensure the application of health and safety, environmental and quality policies.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the quality of products delivered to customers.
• Ensure good communication between the different internal groups.
• Ensure that the manufacturing process is efficient and cost effective.
• Review and approve proposals.
• Participate in the deployment of the project execution process and ensure that all project

categories are executed in
accordance with the process.

• Carry out every other task compatible with your functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant education
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing
• Ability to apply basic managerial skills to support, develop and manage, assigned workforce
• Good team and process management skills
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to participate in and promote continuous improvement activities.
• Able to conduct basic root cause analysis using structured problem-solving method.
• Working knowledge of basic facility infrastructure and mechanical equipment.
• Understanding of BOM, work Instructions, project management, leadership, and LEAN

manufacturing highly desirable

• Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by CGRP/ITAR directives.
