Overview
We are in search of an enthusiastic individual with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to help lead the firm into a new phase of growth and development. We are a small firm that values collegiality and collaboration among all team members. The successful candidate will be reliable, with good instincts, and will embrace a fast-paced working environment. This candidate will work directly with the partners of Greenspan Humphrey Weinstein LLP to manage all aspects of the firm’s operations, and will structure, develop and supervise administrative staff.
The well-suited individual for this position will be a resourceful and ambitious person with a modern vision. Someone who is a self-starter with superior interpersonal skills and common sense, who can lead by example, delegate, take initiative and problem solve under pressure. The successful candidate will constantly work to improve the firm’s processes and identify issues for improvement and areas of growth. Management or other relevant experience is an asset. Primary / Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Primary point of contact for all operational matters.
- Providing executive assistance to senior partners and manage all administrative staff.
- Oversee administrative processes, develop and implement improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate and manage events and assist with special projects as required.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices, making recommendations for improved modernization.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Law Society practice regulations and court procedures.
- Intervene and recommend appropriate solutions when new and complex problems arise.
- Manage and organize the retention of Firm’s records, communication systems, and building utilities.
- Manage the onboarding/departure of students and staff.
- Takes the lead with new technology and explore innovative opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in law firm operations, management consulting, or a similar role.
- Excellent judgment and comfort with decision making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Familiarity with business and financial principles.
Additional responsibilities as directed.
Experience: University graduate with 5 - 10+ years of experience (required)
