Responsible for all operations of the business, delivering installation of solar and renewable technologies whilst growing and managing a high performing team.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of large scale mechanical or electrical installations or construction projects on a multi-site level. Solar energy or electrical installation experience on a wide scale would be a major advantage.
You must be an accomplished leader with the ability to manage teams across multiple projects. You'll help develop the scale of operations through increasing capacity and number of installation teams.

The business has built a client base and reputation on providing excellent service and honest advice. After 5 years of business development and steady growth, we now manage a portfolio of C.£90m of utility purchasing on behalf of our clients, along with a C.£10m pipeline of potential solar sales, with additional ambitious growth plans.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the team of project managers, installers and subcontractors
- Building the team to execute a growing number of solar installation projects
- Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the installations
- Manage the costs in line within the agreed budget, seeking to ensure that operational efficiencies are attained where possible
- Ensure that staff and subcontractors are working in accordance with UK standards, legislation and Safe Systems of Work.
- Implement and roll out new project management system
- Maintain relationships with key clients and suppliers
- Produce site survey reports and feasibility studies
- Work with the design, procurement and specification team
- Manage construction with responsibility for Health & Safety compliance
- Effectively apply our methodology and enforce standards
- Ensure installation documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Ensure legal documents are completed and signed
- Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
- Oversee management of all administration functions

Key Skills and Experience:
- Technical Operations experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, ideally in Solar PV
- Renewable energy industry knowledge and experience.
- Strong commitment to health and safety, and knowledge of H&S legislation as applicable to construction projects.
- Strong and organised leader with exemplary verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong, demonstrable H&S background, and ideally a recognised qualification around safety, health and environment.
- Highly motivated with the ability to identify best practice and drive change and continuous improvement across the business, whilst taking ownership and making key operational decisions.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and organisational skills with ability to sort problems
- Competent in office 365 suite with a strong knowledge of project management software
Package:
Reporting to: Operations Officer
Salary: £40k-50K + Bonuses
Location: Remote and Hybrid Job, will be expected to work from HQ in Carlisle occasionally
Hours: Standard 37.5 hours per week (9am – 5pm) although out of hours work may be required
Holidays: 28 days paid annual holiday, inclusive of bank holidays
Looking to recruit in northwest as far down as Chester

Salary: £25,858.89-£58,027.98 per year
