The Operations Manager is responsible for maximising the weekly, monthly, and annual performance of the customers Heywood contract, by providing leadership, a focus on customer requirements, effective operational performance, a motivated workforce, and succession planning.

We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;
- Managing day to day operational activities to fulfil customer requirements OTIF to specification and adherence to compliance both internal and external regulatory bodies
- Maintain and promote H&S culture across the site and planning corrective action meetings and preparing response to audits
- Monitor agreed resource level across site(s) in line with budgets, and productivity targets
- Engage with Union to facilitate collaboration between management and colleagues throughout the operation to deliver the goals
- Ensure effective communication processes are established for both internal and external customers
- Record and proactively manage KPI's to drive continuous improvement in the service level and cost performance
- Work closely with H&S and other members of leadership team to ensure all standards of the operation are followed
Maintain strong relationships with the customer's management team through integration and working partnerships

- Experience managing transport/warehouse operations within a supply chain
- IT literate with strong people management skills
- Ability to manage HR functions at site level and tailor communication style to drive engagement
- Financially astute with an analytical mindset
- Customer management experience
- Experience of working with unions
