Shift Patterns: Rotating days 06:00-14:00 – 14:00-22:00, any 5 from 7 (includes some weekends)

Location: Hatfield (AL10 8XF)

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Operation Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To Succeed in the role, you should have a comprehensive Knowledge of Supply Chain Management practices and a demonstrative understanding of Storage and distribution Procedures.

We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include.

• Managing the operations across 2 warehouses, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, supervising the performance of duties, organising work in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Management of all areas of the logistics centre
• Active involvement in defining and overseeing KPIs
• Initiating and supervising the implementation of appropriate countermeasures to disruptions that have occurred
• Planning, together with the Operations Managers, the workflow, the necessary personnel, and technology

• Previous and practical experience as a warehouse operations manager or shift manager within a busy logistics environment
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to organise and train direct reports.

• Knowledge of health and safety, fire prevention and labour law-especially with regard to working time

• People management and engagement experience
• Knowledge of modern management methods and Lean Management
• High interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and think analytically
• Ability to develop colleagues
