Job description
Nursing expectations Alongside the chance to build a career in one of the UKs most progressive trusts, we will subsidise your training and offer significant financial incentives to encourage you to work for us as a registrant - including a £1,000 bonus (on accepting employment). Our Return to Practice Nursing Programme runs twice a year and takes approximately six months to complete. The programme involves a mixture of practical work and classroom study. Classroom study is delivered at Plymouth University.
We will give you time off to attend all study days. You are also required to complete 450 assessed practice hours in order to return to the NMC register. You will be supported by a practice supervisor, who will work with you on a regular basis, and a practice assessor who will sign you off as competent at the end of the Return to Practice Nursing Programme You are required to pass a 2,000-word assignment at degree level which is based on reflective practice, a professional portfolio of evidence and a numeracy assessment. Occupational Therapist expectations Our return to practice offer for Occupational Therapists is flexible and tailored to your needs.
The work that you will undertake in order to re-register on the HCPC register will depend on your professional needs, as well as the period of time your registration has lapsed. In all cases, the process will include a combination of supervised practice, self-directed study and formal study. You will be supervised by an experienced Occupational Therapist in your place of work, who will work closely with you to set goals in line with HCPC and will observe your practice. You will be paid at band 3 pay scale and support the Occupational Therapy and wider team during your observed practice hours.
You will then progress into a qualified Occupational Therapist role within Devon Partnership Trust. You will be expected to commit the same working pattern and hours paid at band 3 during your period of return to practice on commencement of a qualified role within Devon Partnership Trust.
