Are you a results-driven and dynamic individual with a passion for optimising Warehouse Operations? As DD continues to grow, we are now seeking a skilled Operations Manager to take on a brand new and pivotal role within our organisation, focusing on leading and improving the Goods In, Pick, Pack and Despatch Operation.
As the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our Warehouse Operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will lead a team of 80 staff members and ensure all processes are executed accurately, timely and in line with our company’s high standards, We are looking for someone who is not only operationally proficient, but also possesses a strategic mindset to drive efficiency and productivity improvements across the Goods In / Pick, Pack and Despatch operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing new processes, systems & procedures. Whilst seeking and implementing best practices to deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in capability, agility and capacity.
- Critically evaluate and declutter operational processes
- Develop reporting mechanisms and key metrics to monitor, control and evaluate the impact of improvement projects.
- Ensure the timely and cost-effective provision of warehouse materials and equipment is achieved through watertight processes, supplier relationships and key stakeholder management.
- Plan and monitor daily/weekly labour and equipment requirements to identify any shortfalls or overages. Developing and implementing an appropriate response to increase productivity or make cost savings.
- Review, coach and develop direct reports and team members to improve their performance against standards and targets. Ensuring staff are equipped to deliver against all expectations.
- Promote a positive and progressive attitude in all work activities and motivate/support staff to work at their best within a harmonious working environment.
