OPERATIONS MANAGER:
We are looking for a motivated business Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee all aspects of the business. A professional, commercial and service focused approach is essential in this role to support the growth of the business.
The Practice:
We are a start up practice, which will strive to become a friendly practice with a warm, caring and experienced team providing high quality private dentistry to our local community. Based in Wolverhampton, We will be the go-to place for all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry.

Your Experience:
- 3-5 years experience of high level managing teams within healthcare is desirable (across multiple locations preferably).
- Proven sales track record and ability to provide sales training
- Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
- A self starter with a passion for customer service
- Experience with project management essential and opening new premises desirable
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A high level of confidence and the ability to instil confidence in others
- Dental background desirable but not essential
Role Responsibilities
You will be a brand ambassador and set an example for the team. The specific duties of the Operations Manager include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels.
Operations & Patient Care:
- Oversee the day to day running of the business
- Ensuring effective diary management to support practice performance
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Research methods to improve operational management systems and implement processes and best practices
- Aid in the Purchase of materials, monitor costs and ensure stock levels are controlled effectively
- Collaborate with the marketing team regarding campaigns, events and signage
- Participate in strategic planning and goal-setting for various business functions, including IT and support
- Analyse business requirements and patient needs
- Have a clear understanding of the ‘Patient Journey’ and the ‘Patient Experience’ and how this can be influenced
- Work closely to ensure the front of house deliver a 5-star service
- Provide administrative support (e.g. updating inventory)
- Project management of expansion
Commercial & Financial:
- Create and manage budgets and forecasts
- Driving the business forward to achieve set revenue targets
- Creating strategies to boost revenues
- Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs
- Analysis performance data and produce reports
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Monitor the practice costs and ensure stock levels are controlled effectively
HR & People Management:
- Staff recruitment, training and development
- HR functions - induction, probation reviews, 121, appraisals, performance management, leave, sickness, grievance
- Be responsible for motivating the team to reach their goals
- Set the standards for behaviour and conduct.
Compliance & Complaints:
- Ensure legal compliance with company policies and regulation
- Oversee the effective management and resolution of patient complaints

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone motivated and looking to take on a new challenge, with the opportunity of career progression. The successful candidate will be part of the Clear Smiles management team and have the opportunity to work within the practice management setting.
You will be the ‘right hand’ of the business owner, working with the practice manager and front of house team, overseeing the general day to day management of the clinics. The Operations supervisor will be willing and able to cover the practice manager role as required.

The fundamentals:
- Reports to practice owner primarily and senior management liaison
- This is a full-time position and the candidate will be required to be flexible to work evenings and weekends.
