AirBench Ltd is a small manufacturing business, producing a market-leading range of dust and fume extraction equipment. Our customers include almost every major UK manufacturer; in almost every industry sector; from every F1 race team through to thousands of small manufacturing businesses.
We are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to join our team. Working closely alongside the Managing Director, you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring timely delivery to customers, overcoming our daily challenges, and improving the function of the business.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure customer requirements are met, on time and to quality requirements.
- Coordinating all our operational areas including production, despatch, installation, and servicing.
- Resolve operational issues.
- Manage Health and Safety, routine maintenance, and associated processes within the business.
- Drive and implement improvements to processes, tools, and systems.
- Develop a full knowledge of existing company products.
The right person wil be a dynamic, driven individual who can quickly identify the challenges facing the business on a daily basis, do what it takes to solve issues, and ensure customers are kept happy. Experience in a manufacturing environment will be essential. You should be equally happy prioritising workload in each of our production areas, working with customers, or analysing data and processes to find root causes of issues.
You must be a hands-on leader, capable of stepping in and doing whatever is needed to ensure deadlines are met. Excellent systems skills are essential, with the ability to manipulate spreadsheets and other software to ensure proper tracking and resolve issues as they become apparent.
You should have a minimum of 2 years general management experience and a background in engineering or manufacturing.
A full UK driving license and good IT skills are required.
