Here at Advanced Supply Chain, we are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team in our brand new site based in Bradford. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus an excellent benefits package!
As our Operations Manager, you’ll be working in a fast-paced, challenging and innovative environment, working with the latest fashion garments. You will report directly into our General Manager, who will be on-hand to provide you with ongoing encouragement and support with any challenges you may face. You will have direct reports from our Team Managers across various departments, and you’ll be on-hand to provide leadership, motivation, ongoing training and development. Our Operations Managers play a key role in making sure the operation is running efficiently, and meeting the demands of our high-profile customers.
Responsibilities of our Operations Manager will include:
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times, act as a H&S role model and ensure H&S is a priority on-site
- Day to day responsibility for all direct costs in Operations as part of the daily P&L
- To lead and people manage a team of Supervisory Managers (Team Managers and Team Leaders)
- Responsible for the control of stock and Warehouse queries in the Operations area
- Manage planning and production processes, machine and people utilisation in accordance with company standards and values
- Develop, implement and review Standard Operating Procedures for all operations within the remit of the role
- Maintain high standards of quality and compliance with relevant standards – ISO 9001./BRC
- Lead and support the management of the people resources in the Operations team, being accountable for the recruiting, induction, deployment, performance appraisal, training and control in accordance with the company HR standards.
- Monitor continuously and report regularly the performance of the Operations function to set KPI’s
Skills and experience required to become our Operations Manager:
- Excellent organisational skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent people management skills, the ability to lead a team successfully and the capability to influence those around you
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ideally in a retail or ecommerce background
- Experience managing people including the management of Managers and/or supervisors
- Experience managing and improving P&L performance
- H&S qualification desirable (IOSH/NEBPSH)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft, in particular, Word, Excel and Outlook
