By Dr Vali is looking to add a General Manager to our growing team. The manager has the exciting opportunity of launching the first Experiential Center in Selfridges and will have full responsibility for the operations of the clinic and multiple Selfridges counters across the UK.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full responsibility for the operations of the By Dr Vali Experiential Center in London, and By Dr Vali counters in various Selfridges stores across the UK, including ownership of the P&L, Health & Safety, HR, Sales & Marketing.
Duties to include:
Experiential Center Launch
Supported by internal management team, project manage the opening of the Experiential Center including onboarding the team, marketing launch plan, opening checklist, opening stock management and liaising with various Selfridges department heads for a successful launch.
Sales & Marketing
· Achieve treatment and retail sales targets at the Experiential Center
· Achieve sell-in (wholesale) and sell-thru (retail) sales targets at By Dr Vali (BVD) counters in multiple Selfridges stores.
· Review Selfridges POs to ensure wholesale orders are in line with sales and forecasts.
· Develop and implement effective sales training for all Center and counter staff
· Deliver a world class customer journey to all clients.
· Liaise with marketing team to develop and implement an effective marketing and promotional strategy
· Manage social media activity for Center
· Actively promote the Experiential Center to other departments in Selfridges.
Operations
· Full day to day operational management of a busy clinic
· Manage all HR of the Center and counters including recruitment, appraisals and training of managerial and operational employees
· Develop and implement training and development programmes for the Center and counter staff
· Manage scheduling of doctors, nurses and aestheticians
· Manage payroll including creation and monitoring of monthly rota
· Review and sign off staff hours to meet payroll deadline
· Review and sign off commission to meet payroll deadline
· Liaise with Clinic Manager to develop and implement CQC procedures
· Liaise with Clinic Manager to ensure cost-effective diary management
· Full responsibility for Health & Safety of the Center
· Liaise with Selfridges department managers on operational issues
Reporting and cash management
· Manage daily/weekly/monthly/annual reporting of services and product performance
· Highlight overperforming and underperforming services, SKUs and categories, bestseller performance, and mix of business with action plans where required.
· Sign-off reconciliation of End of Day (EOD) sales
· Sign off reconciliation of EOD to Selfridges Z read.
Stock Management
· Full stock accountability to minimise out of stocks or low stock levels of key products.
● Work with Product and Operations teams on NPD timelines and inventory forecasts
● Conduct regular in-store cycle counts weekly eg every Monday
● Conduct monthly stock counts to minimise stock loss and ensure accurate calculation of gross margins.
Retailer Relationship Management
· Form a successful partnership with Selfridges’ operations and department heads
· Act as liaison between Selfridges and BDV, resolving issues autonomously where possible.
REPORTING
This job will manage a full team of clinicians, operational and sales personnel and will report into the Commercial Director
Skills and Qualifications
· Considerable management experience in a spa, clinic or retail business with a history of achieving budgets.
· Experience in operations and a strong background in driving sales
· Strong management skills with experience of managing a large team with a positive, solution focused mindset
· Proven track record of delivering on KPI's - structure, organisational skills and time management is key
· Exceptional communication skills in building strong connection with different stakeholders
· Strong analytic skills in understanding the business and providing business insight
· Strong computer skills, proficient use of Microsoft Office (including Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint) and Outlook.
· Excellent organisational, time and self-management skills
· Detail oriented, with excellent follow through skills
· Autonomy and strong sense of initiative
· Solid understanding of Retail operations
