ROLE OVERVIEW
Responsible for supporting the UK operational logistics requirements, ensuring the smooth transfer of stock from the UK warehouse to retail, salon, and e-commerce customers.
The role is based in our Leeds office to support 3rd party Warehouse in Midlands.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Amazon order process end to end including charge back process and driving improvements.- Take ownership of the UK order processes, ensuring all orders are entered on system to ensure that all agreed order turnarounds are met.
- Ensure all Special Requirement Customers customer orders and processes are in conformance with required specifications & booked-in in advance.
- Ensure all dangerous goods requirements are met for the handling of UK Road transportation.
- Co-ordinate delivery of all UK orders direct to customers.
- Work closely with the UK 3PL to ensure orders are being managed proactively to ensure agreed timescales are met.
- Review the use / need of 3rd party providers and consider improvements in partners provisions in order to make suggestions for operational improvements.
- Monitor OTIF performance by Prolog, understand any reasons for failure and identify ways of eliminating issues.
- Develop and complete all reporting and KPI monitoring in appropriate timescales.
- Support where necessary the rest of the Leeds based UK Operations team.
- Provide support where necessary for stocktakes and exhibitions (to include weekends where necessary).
- Anticipate issues to help ghd manage Supply Chain risk. “Go the extra mile” to ensure that issues are resolved promptly.
- Support the development and implementation of ghd’s overall Supply Chain strategy.
- Support the Logistics team where necessary to ensure all requirements are met.
KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Preferable previous Amazon experience.- Confident in the use of Excel.
- Experience of dealing with logistics providers & ability to understand networks.
- Customer Service, warehousing & logistics experience.
- Ideally experience within a fast-moving, international consumer business (Experience in e-commerce distribution would be ideal).
- Ability to work autonomously, plan and organise own workload and to work within timescales / tight deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and hands-on style, capable of resolving day-to-day issues.
- Ability to look at existing processes and drive service improvements.
- Adopts a continuous improvement approach.
