Home Instead Canterbury covers Canterbury, Faversham, Whitstable, Herne Bay and surrounding areas. We support our ageing and vulnerable adults to stay in their own homes for longer with quality care. We’re looking for Care Professionals who have good availability, have access to reliable transportation as some of our clients require accompanying to Doctor’s visits etc and who want to join an award winning company and be part of the Home Instead family. While we welcome experienced Care Pro's, our employee's don't necessarily need experience as we have an award winning training scheme for all employees and prioritise matching care pro's to clients according to the clients needs and wants as well as shared interests.
Care Assistant Benefits:
- Excellent pay rates - from £12.00 - £13.25 per hour, plus double bank holiday rates
- Types of hours available - From 10 hours part time to 37.5 hours full time
- Minimum 1 hour calls – so you have the time needed with clients
- Retention bonus - Increased hourly rate to £13 after 6 months of service
- Employee referral bonus programme - £100 for a referral that starts with us, and a further £100 after 6 months of their service. *Terms apply
- Mileage 30p per mile and travel time £10.50 per hour - paid separately

Care Assistant responsibilities:
Being a Care Professional is a highly rewarding career where no two days are the same! With minimum 1 hour care visits and client matching, you have the time to provide high quality, person-focused care.
Duties can include:
- Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
- Help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light housework
- Accompanying to appointments or shopping
- Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent
