Job Description Summary
This role reports into the Gate 1 Business Unit Leader and is directly responsible for the operational management of all inspection areas within Gate 1 (Engine Disassembly). The role holder will be managing a large team of both direct and indirect reports and will be accountable for delivery to established KPI's and achieving the strategic priorities of the business area.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage a large operational area in order to reach defined targets in Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
Overall responsibility within the assigned business area for problem solving, waste elimination and productivity improvement using lean principles
Ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
Utilising in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and/or technical experience to execute strategy.
Uses judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes. Work across business functions and engage multiple stakeholders as required.
Embrace business strategy and information and routinely deliver meaningful messages to the team
Deputising for Business Unit Leader as required and acts as escalation point for any complex issues.
Required Qualifications & Characteristics
This role requires advanced experience in Manufacturing & Operational Management.
Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Experience in continuous improvement using Lean principles.
