We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Graduate to join our Operations team based in Grangemouth and participate in our 2.5 year Operations Graduate Programme which will commence in summer 2023.
The Graduate Programme has been designed as a launch pad for those aspiring to a leadership role in Operations who wish to fast track their career. During the programme you will participate in a series of placements, and through a combination of on the job training, learning from others, formal training and mentoring you will build on your existing Engineering knowledge and technical skills, gain an in-depth knowledge of the business and develop the professional and people skills you need to progress within the Operations environment.
During that time you will gain experience and relevant training of Process Engineering, Engineering Systems, Health & Safety, project management & driving excellence and your salary will increase incrementally, on a 6 monthly basis subject to your successful development. Opportunities to travel to other Biomar manufacturing sites and be part of wider business projects will also form part of your development.
Upon successful completion of the programme, and having demonstrated a high level of knowledge and performance, you will be expected to move into a first line management role within the Operations team. To be chosen for the Operations Graduate Programme you will have:
- Recently obtained or be on track to achieve at least a 2:1 degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering in 2023.
- Knowledge of relevant Engineering processes, equipment & technologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of Engineering Systems including PPM & CMMS systems.
- Knowledge, understanding & commitment to ensuring Health & Safety best practice is implemented in the workplace.
- Ability to analyse engineering data and performance and identify solutions/proposals based on effective critical & logical thinking.
- IT Literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to convey key information effectively to appropriate audiences.
- Demonstrated a strong commitment to continuous development of self and to developing the engineering, business and people skills required to achieve development targets.
- The ability to plan & organise workload and development activities to meet key deadlines.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with others and work effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated that you are able to work on own initiative, whilst understanding when to seek advice or support from others.
- Demonstrate ambition and passion for success in personal or study activities.
- A driving licence and access to your own transport - this is due to our location.
