Due to recent aquisition and growth, Archer are now looking for a Fishing Operations Engineer to build up our UK, Africa and Caspian Oiltools team. The role will primarily support the Operations Manager in the role of project planning and preparation, with a requirement to support the UK sales team where required with technical backup to support technical proposals for project award. The Operations Engineer will be deeply involved in the process from quotation to execution offshore.
Candidates should have a strong technical background covering various disciplines of downhole tools and operations relating to fishing and milling. Previous experience within a service company environment/role is preferred. The role will be built on Archer Core Values with a focus on optimising technology solutions to deliver better wells by extending well life, maximising well performance, whilst minimising environmental impact.
Key responsibilities
- Promote Health and Safety and Quality Assurance at work with a strong Focus on Service Quality as per Quality Control Process
- On-Duty technical support for offshore / Customer operations
- Work closely with Sales and Supply Chain to ensure costing and inventory are all available for planned operations
- Prepare equipment requests, procedures, and calculations for offshore operations
- Project Lead for SYNERGI Investigations
- Follow Oiltools Operating System (OTOS) relating to customer projects, activities and QCP
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals to clients to develop new business opportunities.
- Liaise with colleagues from the Technical Support and Operations teams to facilitate business activities and provide a high-quality service.
