This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Mechanical Operations Engineer to further their career. Working in the Asset Support Team, you'll support the delivery of engineering excellence in your assigned projects by coordinating and delivering the engineering for an assigned project scopes to schedule and in accordance with applicable procedures, specifications, and standards.
As a Mechanical Operations Engineer, your role will include:
- Close liaison with internal stakeholders and the client (as required) on all mechanical technical matters, particularly offshore mechanical technicians.
- Ensure that operability and maintainability are consider in all design work
- Ensure that all design work is preformed, reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with the engineering procedures with appropriate levels of due diligence being carried out
- Provide mechanical support to offshore crews
- Fault findings rectification including participation in investigations Contribute to multi-discipline study reports for technical content.
- Preparation of technical correspondence to the client including technical queries
- Preparation of ORA's and deferrals for mechanical equipment Implement, integrate and review planned maintenance programmes in order to meet statutory and vendor requirements.
- Review and comment on documents formally issued through document control
- Review and control maintenance in backlog, in particular SECE's, adhering to Company procedures Act as focal point for technical discipline related platform issues.
To be considered for this Mechanical Operations Engineer role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in offshore mechanical engineering and maintenance of mechanical equipment
- HND or equivalent in relevant discipline
- Professionally Registered Engineer with IMechE or similar
- Professional Membership of a recognisedengineering body and evidence of ongoing Continued Professional Development
- Specific detailed experience in at least one type of major offshore mechanical device - Cranes, TEMPSC, Generators etc
- Previous experience and knowledge of controls in relation to Major Accident Hazards is essential
- Experience and knowledge of writing, managing and monitoring SECE's, performance standards and verification schemes
- Experience with maintenance management systems
- Experience complying with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
