A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Operations Engineer to join a leading Engineering, Advisory and Project management company focusing in the Oil & Gas, Renewables and Energy sectors. With their aim to make conventional energies cleaner for the future.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Operations Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the day-to-day mechanical maintenance for all offshore assets
- Effectively managing mechanical maintenance and engineering risks
- Ensuring all maintenance and modifications are is carried out in line with legislation.
- Close liaison with internal stakeholders and the client (as required) on all Mechanical technical matters, particularly offshore mechanical technicians
- Ensure that all design work is preformed, reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with the engineering procedures
- As the Mechanical Operations Engineer you’ll create multi-discipline study reports for technical content
- Implement, create and review planned maintenance programmes/packages
- Act as focal point for technical discipline related platform issues whilst liaising with Technical Authority and completing TA assessments.
- Ensuring that human factors and SHEQ are considered for all engineering activities
- Ensure SECE's are operated and maintained in compliance with the performance standards
- Ensure the implementation of adequate Health, Safety and Environmental work practices, procedures and methods to meet all statutory requirements and the Company SHEQ Management System
Role Requirements:
As the Mechanical Operations Engineer you’ll have:
- Extensive experience in offshore mechanical engineering and maintenance of mechanical equipment
- Specific detailed experience in at least one type of major offshore mechanical device - Cranes, TEMPSC, Generators etc
- Previous experience of controls in relation to Major Accident Hazards is essential
- MIST, (BOSIET/FOET), Medical Certificate and Donut/S-cape - preferable
- HND or equivalent in relevant discipline
- Professionally Registered Engineer with IMechE or similar
