An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the multi-disciplinary Laboratory Operations technical team within Aston University's College of Health and Life Sciences.
You will predominantly provide support for Neuroscience undergraduate and post graduate practical classes as well as project supervision. You will have primary responsibility for managing the electrophysiology lab space with duties to include, but not being restricted to, ensuring stock levels are met, managing resources, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, providing training and support to both staff and students within the dedicated technical areas and implementing Health and Safety rules and regulations. You will also be required to support other College areas that fall under the remit of the Laboratory Operations technical team at appropriate times. These areas include Biosciences, Pharmacy and Aston's Medical School for both teaching and research.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent with previous experience working within a similar technical role. You will be able to work and communicate with numerous people across multiple levels effectively and efficiently. In addition, you will also have the ability to work independently and within a large team; and have the ability to prioritise your workload to meet tight deadlines.
