park operations.
Having just become part of a much larger group, we have substantial budgets available to
build and grow out our teams, with plans to double headcount to over 200 people within the

The Operations Director is a key role to help achieve this growth.

THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced operations director with field operations / multi-site
operations experience to take overall responsibility for our car park operations. The role will
be focussed around ensuring quality and efficiency in the planning, installation, maintenance
and day-to-day running of our vast array of car parks.
The ideal candidate will be skilled at identifying the need for and then implementing and
optimising standard operating procedures, being mindful of the businesses requirement to
stay nimble, fast and ahead of our competition.

THE REMIT
In your role as YourParkingSpace Operations Director, you will be responsible for the

following:

  • Oversight of our service delivery, regional operations management, technical service
desk and installation and maintenance teams and processes.
  • Working to ensure clear communication between sales, service delivery and account
management to ensure the effective delivery and ongoing management of our
physical car park infrastructure.
  • Ensuring effective prioritisation of installations, ensuring clear liaison with all relevant
internal stakeholders to ensure clarity and provide accurate information.
  • Ownership of all processes and documentation that ensure replicable, scalable
functions that can be adapted for different markets.
  • Ensuring legally compliant and safe practices are adhered to and all necessary
processes and rules are followed for effective, efficient, legal and safe car park
operations.
  • Supporting the creation of a centralised ‘control room’ that ensures we are able to
identify and respond to issues with hardware or software on sites before our
customers or their visitors need to report them.
  • Setting clear goals and KPI’s amongst your teams to ensure that standards are
maintained and improved consistently, and that underperformance is addressed and
resolved.
  • To identify areas for saving time and money, whilst effectively managing budgets to
ensure the business is operating as efficiently as possible.
  • Direct oversight of major projects, working with project managers to ensure they are
able to effectively execute in complex and urgent deliveries.
  • Line management responsibilities to ensure team members are clear on their targets,
growth areas and progression.
  • Working as part of the senior leadership team to ensure harmonious cross-
department relationships for the betterment of the company.

THE TEAM
The role sits within the Senior Management Team with a number of direct reports, and will
work closely with the Board.

THE PERSON
1. Significant experience in a multi-site or field operations role, ideally involving physical
assets
2. Meticulous organisational and communication skills - you will thrive on structure and
process
3. An ability to setup and utilise tech tools and experience to craft and enforce
processes that allows for common sense decisions
4. Exceptional people management skills, and the ability to get results in high pressure
and time-critical scenarios
5. Proven experience of coordinating operations in cross-department scenarios
6. An ability to build and motivate team of differing personalities and skillsets, whilst
having the experience to reshape and restructure an organisation to optimise for the
best results
7. Any experience of civil / electrical engineering operations advantageous
8. Experience of the parking sector advantageous
