About The Role
Bion, the leading bespoke perforated metal and plastic provider within the UK and Europe are looking for an experienced Operations Director to join their team.
The role is responsible for the manufacturing and quality control of all Bion products. You will need to develop a deep understanding of the business processes to ensure the goods and services are produced efficiently meet the quality control standards required. The goal is to safeguard and enhance the efficiency of the Company’s operations to maintain reputation, facilitate development and support long-term success.

Key responsibilities of the role
- To lead the production organisation strategy and implementation adhering to relevant KPI’s
- To manage the daily operations of production, maintenance, quality and health and safety
- Ensure that the products meet customer requirements in relation to product specification and delivery
- To oversee and manage controls and improvements in adherence to ISO9001
- To effectively lead and motivate the production team members
- To liaise with the other departments and teams to deliver the operational plans
- Management of the internal auditors and audit schedule
- The role will require flexibility to support with management and quality control with the 24 hours shift pattern structure in place.
About you
We are looking for a strong leader of people who is working in a similar Operations Director or equivalent position, with proven track record within manufacturing or similar industry with transferable skills.
In addition:
- Previous experience with measuring equipment (Micrometers/veniers)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Previous experience with internal auditing to ISO9001
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Extensive experience delivering and exceeding KPI's
- Strong decision making, action planning and prioritisation skills
- Commitment to provide the highest level of support and quality service
- Experience of P&L’s and budget management
- Process and or project management such as six sigma, prince 2.
