As Operations Director, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of your business. Overseeing a team of Regional and Operations Managers, The Operations Director will be a visible presence delivering innovations, first class relationships, customer satisfaction and performance. This is an exciting new role within a supportive and fast paced business offering the chance to play a key role in maximising business opportunities and new services.

As Operations Director you’ll be:

  • Achieving regional annual operating profits, gross revenues as set down and agreed with the MD in the annual budget.
  • Providing outstanding leadership, management, direction and support
  • Maximising business opportunities within each region
  • Monitoring competitor activity in and around each area
  • Ensuring Operational activities are regularly reported, contingency plans discussed, problems identified, and decisions offered.
  • Problem solving in situations requiring greater authority and assisting with problem analysis and decision making.
  • Ensuring that no contracts are terminated through bad service
  • Ensuring the business is run in the most profitable manner and to make cost savings as required to review profit and loss on a regular basis
  • Effectively manage client relationships and support appropriately the performance of direct reports to deliver the same

As Operations Director you’ll have:

  • Recent senior management experience with a similar facilities environment
  • The ability to communicate with Director and MD level clients confidently and concisely.
  • The ability to identify possible drops in service at early stages, to eliminate major dips in service occurring.
  • Proven experience of managing managers and the ability to coach and mentor managers, who are experiencing difficulties.
  • Commercial analysis and resolution proposing capability
  • Marketing, analysis, creation, and implementation.
  • Experience with acquisitions and integration.
  • The ability to multi-task and work in a pressurised environment, able to use time proactively to ensure that potential problems do not surface
  • Innovation and always looking to inspire change
