We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Data analyst to join our on-site Huntingdon team £45 - £50k pa.
The purpose of the role is to extract, construct, analyse and share insights from key operational data sets in a automated and sustainable manner. Specific, but not exclusive, focus will be given to data associated with the end-to-end supply chain including Manufacturing, Logistics and Supply chain. This role provides significant personal development both within the role and beyond.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Work with key stakeholders to agree the data set required, how this should be reviewed and what frequency this will be done.
- Ensure that all agreed data is available for extraction and analysis as required.
- Identify any gaps or anomalies in agreed data and work with cross functional stakeholders to ensure that these are addressed in a timely manner.
- Use available tools and techniques to help create automated tracking and visibility of key KPI's to end users.
- Use readily available tools and techniques that build on agreed data to create simple and visual impactful reports and dashboards to improve understanding and insight that results in tangible action being taken.
- Work as part of a team to implement and refine data sets required which drive key operational planning models.
- Continue to review the latest developments in data analysis - both internally and externally - and recommend changes to improve capability and efficiency of our current way of working and the tools and solutions that we use through simplification and automation wherever possible
- Any other reasonable business requirements within the ability of the incumbent candidate.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Data Analyst with the following skills, experience and attributes to be successful in this role:
Essential Criteria
- High degree of proficiency in one or more of the following software packages: Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, PowerBI.
- Applies critical thinking by reviewing and analysing information, determines causes and trends.
- Ability to critically analyse outputs of own work to ensure consistent high quality analysis.
- Shows genuine passion for the potential that data could unlock.
- Strong logical reasoning skills with experience in building scenario models.
- High degree of organisation and attention to detail in data generation, data analysis and reporting.
- Aware of different cultures and able to adapt to different ways of working.
- Communicates clearly at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrates ability to use own initiative to establish work priorities, make appropriate decisions and get the job done.
Desirable Criteria
- Operational background with demonstrated capability of creating actionable information to drive improvements to either processes or understanding of data.
