Operations is a close knit and flexible team responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Handle a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth daily operations of a business. Support and cover warehouse and facility's during holidays and absences, performing administrative duties, assisting with project management, and organizing events. Day to day management of all maintenance and coordination of a company food safety program to maintain statutory compliance to the prescribed legal requirements in the Food Industry. Management of transport for all incoming and outgoing products.
Skills you should possess and if not gain training to be able to have the following:
- 3 years' experience in an office management capacity
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Computer literate with the ability to learn new software
- Flexibility & ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills to cope with changing deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm
- Highly organized with strong administrative capabilities
- Strong Microsoft skills along with the capability to work with new systems
Responsibilities
- Assist operations Manager in day-to-day coordination and management of business operational activities
- Monitor, control, and co-ordinate business operations to meet customer expectations and company goals
- Plan, co-ordinate and implement the movement and transfer of stock between each base as and when required in the most efficient or cost-effective way
- Liaise between customer and management to ensure smooth operations delivery
- Become the subject matter expert on the OW system and provide training to the operations team as and when required
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationship through regular meetings and communications
- Contribute ideas and suggestions regarding the performance improvement of our operations
- Provide direction and guidance to internal teams to achieve performance targets.
- Identify problems in operations process and resolve them in quickly and timely manner
- Follow standard operating procedures for efficient business operations
- Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes
- Reconcile monthly operating budgets and share updated financial reports with the senior management team
- Work with our vendors to make purchases and reconcile invoices
- Updating spreadsheets, reporting and analysing results
- Setting up new accounts, providing customer service support to clients for queries
- Working closely with Finance to ensure supplier invoices and commissions are paid.
