One Home is seeking to recruit a committed, ambitious and experienced Operations Co-ordinator. Job summary
- Full time permanent position, but willing to discuss flexible working arrangements including part-time
- Home based (we are a fully remote organisastion)
- Salary: £25k to £30k annual gross salary depending on experience
Working closely with the Chief Executive, you will direct and manage One Home’s operations to ensure that we meet our strategic goals and objectives. Your role will be hands-on internal management as well as some external focus, engaging with key stakeholders such as collaborators and funders. We are a small, friendly team and we are looking for someone who is willing to get stuck in and adapt to the ever-changing needs of an organisation that has led the way in raising awareness of the climate crisis and positive solutions.
Key responsibilities for operations co-ordinator
- Develop and maintain all necessary systems and procedures to ensure that company operations comply with all legal requirements and meet agreed operational standards
- Support conversion process from social enterprise to a charity
- Oversee contracts and contractors including insurance, website maintenance and video production
- Support board and team members with appropriate systems
- Contribute to the development of the company’s strategy and help translate that strategy into actionable short and long-term business plans
- Explore opportunities to increase income generation through including grant fundraising and commercial opportunities such as partnership work, consultancy and website links
- Manage our recruitment and onboarding process
- Oversee uploading and updating website content (note not writing articles)
- Produce invoices and financial information through Xero accounting software
- Be an enthusiastic ambassador for environmental and climate issues
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Demonstrative experience in similar role
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance and IT
- Strong team player and able to use own initiative
- Exceptionally practical with good organisational and time management skills
- Enjoy working at home and with a team based remotely
- Experience working in communications organisation
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Be prepared to travel as necessary to meetings elsewhere in the UK
- Be passionate about tackling climate change
About One Home and the Climate Alliance Community Interest Company
One Home is the consumer awareness campaign of the Climate Alliance Community Interest Company, a not-for-profit social enterprise set up in 2017 by environmental scientist Angela Terry. We are a small social enterprise with an impact that goes far beyond our size working across all major media organisations with big ambitions in terms of educating and empowering people to accelerate the transition to net zero and adapt to extreme weather events.
