Title: Warehouse Operations Specialist

Hours: Permeant (Full Time)

Location: Portishead

We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. Your main responsibility will be to accurately pick and pack customer orders, meeting the highest standards of quality and precision. In addition to order fulfilment, you will collaborate with the warehouse team and supervisors to optimize operational processes and maintain an organized and tidy warehouse environment.

You will be the first hire into this function as we have previously outsourced our warehouse operations to a 3rd party. High performers can expect to move quickly into a leadership role where they can expect to build out a team below them

The role is very broad and will encompass:

  • Picking and Packing Orders:

Accurately pick items from their designated locations within the warehouse according to order sheets or electronic pick lists. This will include large orders for both commercial and international clients

  • Quality Control:

Conduct regular quality checks on picked and packed orders to maintain accuracy and minimize errors. Inspect products for defects or damages before packing to guarantee customer satisfaction.

  • Inventory Management:

Assist in receiving, counting, and organizing incoming stock.

Perform cycle counts and update inventory records to ensure stock accuracy.

  • Customer service:

Providing the highest level of service to all customers, catering for bespoke requirements for commercial clients. Addressing customer emails and questions, including but not limited to late orders / changes / subscriptions

  • Warehouse Organization:

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse by adhering to company guidelines and safety protocols. Utilize proper handling techniques to prevent damage to products and equipment.

  • Process Optimization:

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in picking, packing, and warehouse operations.

Suggest and implement innovative solutions to streamline workflows.

  • Teamwork and Communication:

Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members to achieve daily targets and meet performance goals.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to address any issues or concerns related to order fulfillment.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in an ecommerce environment.
  • Familiarity with order picking and packing processes, as well as inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fastpaced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and operating warehouse equipment is a plus(e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Exceptional candidates without relevant experience will be considered

SALARY & PACKAGE

£20,000 - £24,000 (depending on experience)
