Role Overview
The role of the Operations Associate - Audit is to ensure corporate governance proxy voting events are accurately processed. The Global Vote Audit team minimise financial and reputational risk to Broadridge and our clients.
We are seeking individuals with high attention to details and an eye for spotting errors and mistakes. You will perform audit checks and reconciliation of the daily processes carried out by the Operations and Client Service Teams ensuring everything is processed correctly prior to being submitted.
General Responsibilities:
- Proactively engages in audit work to identify and resolve business risks/challenges
- Ensure proxy meetings are accurately set up
- Audit of proxy voting to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure power of attorney documentation is accurately processed
- Audit of letters of representation to ensure clients are correctly represented at proxy events
- Support the implementation of new audit processes
- Responsible for maintaining and reporting effective management information
- Maintain professional working relationships with internal business partners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong GCSE/O or A level Maths and English (or equivalent)
Skills/Competencies:
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
- At least 2 years hands-on experience performing operational processing, audit and/or reconciliation.
- Ability to accurately perform reconciliations incorporating significant volumes and across a diverse range of processes.
- Attention to detail, ability to maintain consistent performance under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Intermediate Excel skills.
- Well organised with good prioritisation skills.
- Exposure to brokerage, proxy or financial business operations would be advantageous but is not essential and training will be provided.
- Knowledge of global proxy rules, regulations and processing would be advantageous, but is not essential as training will be provided.
- Willingness and ability to work from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and occasionally beyond 5pm where required.
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to our office and given the flexibility to work remotely.
