Operations and Customer Assistant
Who we are
The company began life with my father, in the mid 1980’s, setting up to distribute in the UK for an overseas manufacturer. Since then, the business has grown; we work with suppliers from all over the world and sell to hundreds of small businesses in the UK. Five years ago, I joined the business from managing fashion retail shops such as Uniqlo and Ted Baker. In the last few years we’ve launched an eCommerce website and continued to expand our offering - and we have big plans for the future! At the heart of the business, my father and I have always prided ourselves on having beautiful products and maintaining close, long-term relationships with our customers.
Who we are looking for
There is a huge opportunity in the UK and abroad to sell our fantastic products - we are now looking for an extra pair of hands to help us grow the business. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the business, from stock management, to eCommerce, to marketing and events. You do not necessarily need to have formal experience - we are looking for the right person.
What the job involves
- Stock management; labelling, pricing, organisation
- Processing of deliveries
- Processing of customer orders
- Website stock management
- Office management
- Social media and email marketing
- Event/exhibition management
Requirements
- Self-motivated - you don’t mind working in a small team, or sometimes alone
- Organised, with a strong attention to detail
- Reliable and approachable, with a positive can-do attitude
- You proactively identify issues and opportunities and help us tackle them
- Comfortable talking to customers and helping them with queries
- Some experience or willingness to learn a bit of Excel
