Health Care Assistant – Part Time and term time
Required as soon as possible or 29th August 2023
Abbot’s Hill School is seeking a Health Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to the School Nurse. The School provides a clinically effective, high quality service of nursing care to pupils and first aid care to all members of the school community.
The successful candidate will assist the School Nurse with administrative duties, first aid care and treatment to pupils when required. There is also a requirement to cover the Surgery and be the first port of call for first aid cover when the Nurse is unavailable.
You will have experience of working within education, childcare provision or paediatric healthcare. Ideally you’ll be Paediatric First Aid qualified (training can be provided) and have the knowledge and experience of providing first aid.
We are looking for an excellent team player with an ability to demonstrate flexibility and work collaboratively or independently as required. You’ll be well organised and efficient, with the ability to identify and achieve prioritised targets. Good basic office administration skills including ICT (MS Office suite especially Outlook, Word and Excel and experience of utilising databases), are a must.
Hours: 10.00 am to 2.30 pm, Monday to Friday during Term Time (22.5 hours per week)
Flexibility is required in respect of hours and days of work to encompass special events in the school calendar for example, INSET/Training days, Commemoration Day and Open Days.
Salary: Actual pro-rata salary up to £10,166 per annum, based on a full time equivalent of up to £23,732 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
