About us:
BeZero Carbon is a global ratings agency for the Voluntary Carbon Market. Our ratings allow all market participants to price and manage risk. BeZero’s ratings and research tools support buyers, intermediaries, investors, and carbon project developers.
Founded in April 2020, our 100-strong team combines climatic and earth sciences, sell-side financial research, earth observation, machine learning, data and technology, engineering, and public policy expertise. We work from six continents.

We are looking for a Ratings Operations Analyst. This key role helps bring together all the different departments involved in the ratings process. It’s a pivotal role that helps in the execution, integrity, and continuous improvement of our ratings operations. Our ideal candidate will be able to work closely with the Ratings Operations team to deliver projects to tight timeframes, establish sensible processes, analyse qualitative and quantitative data while being proactive and identify improvements.
The role itself will involve:

  • Conduct content integrity checks and reviews ahead of publishing
  • Help create agendas and co-ordinate committee meetings
  • Minute internal committee meetings
  • Deliver publishing process alongside the Marketing team
  • Help deliver ratings using our internal bespoke tools
  • Help coordinate across teams to deliver ratings
  • Track and monitor all in-progress client ratings, liaising with Commercial & Customer success teams
  • Help analyse and understand the performance of the ratings team
  • Contribute to the team on project and resource management

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure within a fast-growing company
  • Analytical skills - ability to gather and handle quantitative and qualitative data sets
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to build trusting relationships
  • Excellent Excel and/or Google Sheets knowledge
  • Preferred: experience using Project Management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Monday, Clickup, Asana, AirTable)
  • Preferred: interest in climate and environmental topics more broadly
