The Workday Finance Support team ensures Financial business process transactions are progressing and completing smoothly in our Workday system. This person will be responsible for monitoring finance-related business process activity, researching unassigned business processes, and reassigning business processes to ensure they continue to flow smoothly. This individual will also assist with managing our Salesforce queue and assist with research and responses to the Kainos Smart Audit tool findings. The successful candidate will work closely with our team members that handle Workday configuration in supporting the transactional activities in all financial areas.
The individual we seek generally enjoys working independently and is proficient in MS Excel, likes to dig into technical problems for the root cause analysis, seeks to grow their knowledge of Finance issues that could be addressed through technology, and have strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills. Our team will provide you with training, mentorship, and access to some of the best technology tools in the industry.
The Finance job family collects, analyzes, monitors and reports on the university's financial matters, and manages and ensures compliance with university policies, professional standards and all laws. They are responsible for processing and maintaining information within Workday., and the Workday Finance Support Team ensures that the Workday Finance modules are working smoothly, and allows for all of the above. This role helps to maintain the integrity of data and ensures the most efficient and cost-effective systems and applications. The successful candidate may assist in the development of systems specifications and testing of system changes.
With the exception of travel related to an annual onsite all staff meeting, this position will be fully remote . This is an entry-level position in which the successful candidate will be trained and mentored on highly sought after Workday Financial skills.
Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time leading the design, implementation or delivery of processes, implementation of delivery processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University). Has working knowledge and experience in own discipline. Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments independently. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience: 5 years relevant experience
Licensure: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
