At G Live we are now recruiting for a Venue Administrator to join our team.
Here at G Live it is an exciting, fast-paced environment with a variety of shows, plays, music and comedy, as well as local community events. We also host functions including conference events and parties.
We offer opportunities for advancement with regularly scheduled development training sessions as well as cross-role training.
About the Role
The Venue Administrator’s contribution to the achievement of G Live’s financial and service targets is to provide robust, cohesive, and comprehensible systems of administration and internal communication. The administrator post is at the heart of the venue’s relationships with promoters, hirers and event organisers and is the conduit for event critical information between internal and external stakeholders. This is a fast-paced, dynamic, and engaging role within a busy multipurpose entertainment and events’ venue.
Responsibilities to include:
- Accurate and timely creation of contracts and final settlements for shows and events, ensuring their prompt return by producers / promoters as appropriate.
- With the aim of sourcing, recruiting and retaining the best talent, support recruiting managers, as and when required on staff engagement, including advertising, references and right to work checks, ensuring legislative procedures are adhered to.
- Coordinate G Live’s training provision and the maintenance of staff training records and the Health and Safety Portal.
- Under guidance of the payroll department, maintain and submit all required payroll information,
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, disseminate and monitor the return of show contracts, advances, settlements and ancillary correspondence, as appropriate.
- Provide general administrative support to the Venue Director and senior management team as required.

Experience:
- Experience of managing office systems including personnel, diary, filing, and information sharing systems
- Experience administering effective staff recruitment and engagement.
- Proven experience of budget control and maintaining accurate financial records
- The ability to communicate across multiple levels with sensitivity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- An understanding of financial systems and an ability to work accurately with Excel spreadsheets
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and a positive, flexible approach to the job role, work colleagues and peers
- Experience of working in an arts or events industry.
