*This role can be based at Based near HQ, Horsham or National Control Centre (NCC), Rotherham.*
Here at RSPCA we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, driven individual to join our dynamic Operational Services team. This is a hybrid role and the expectation is to be able to work in the office 2 days per week
Here's some of the key work that you will be doing...
- Troubleshooting, using initiative and making decisions with regard to live operational systems.
- Work with stakeholders to implement effective interim processes, during extended periods of transition in operational change projects, to ensure key departmental functions are not adversely affected.
- Work alongside the OTS Business Analyst to assist with gathering requirements, taking the lead on the related Work Package, whilst continuing to communicate with stakeholders and manage realistic expectations in terms of development opportunities and system capabilities.
- Manage and oversee data cleansing activities when moving to new systems/applications.
- Plan, support and oversee the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Regression Testing of business critical applications, both during operational change projects and business as usual (BAU).
- Create and continue to develop BAU system processes and workflows for newly implemented systems. At the same time, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, through managing the formal change control process.
- Train business users at all levels within the whole Society, to ensure newly adopted applications are understood and effectively used. This includes the creation and continuous development of training and support material and regular comms with our stakeholders and end users.
- To provide effective and timely support for the OTS helpdesk, responding to queries and requests via email/phone. These users include Inspectorate, the NCC and a large number of other Society staff.
- First line support for troubleshooting all Wilberforce related Applications together with triaging equipment related issues (eg fleet management and mobile phone hardware).
In addition to your normal duties, you may occasionally be required to undertake such other reasonable duties as necessary to meet the needs of the Society.

What we are looking for in you...
- Experience of supporting database/system users and communications technologies
- Experience of working with internal and external staff at all levels of an organisation
- Proven experience of triaging, assessing and resolving technical issues from a user perspective
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, at all levels of a large organisation
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to present to a group of people
- Ability to learn and fully understand new systems and equipment
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines while working in a demanding environment
- Can work well in a team and independently, using own initiative
- You may occasionally be required to stay away from home as part of this role.
