Lead Operational Readiness Training Analyst
Glasgow

As a Barclays Lead Operational Readiness Training Analyst, you will be responsible for the creation, planning, preparation, and delivery of all training delivered within Global Payments. The GP Training Centre of Excellence will provide colleagues with all their short- and long-term training requirements, giving them the skills to grow and opportunities to evolve while helping to shape and future proof our business.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?
• Supporting the operation with their short- and long-term training requirements
  • Completing training needs analysis with the teams to define their training requirements
  • Creating, planning and delivering all training material to the operation
  • Delivering a fit for purpose training programme aimed to improve performance and take people on a learning journey
  • Developing a new training where required and adapting current training in line with changes to policy and/or procedures
  • Evaluating trends across the operation to ascertain hot spots and generate training material to enhance skills and awareness
  • Acting as the training point of referral for all GP teams to support them navigate their training needs, periods of uncertainty where risk events have taken place
  • Working collaboratively with various stakeholders from Analyst to Director grade

What we’re looking for:
• Demonstrable experience in International Payments Operational processes in Payments or Investigations with the ability to be a SME in Payments or training
  • Good engaging communication skills to convey complex processes into training material
  • Ability to cope and thrive in a high pressure and rapidly changing environment

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in the training cycle, including training needs analysis, training design and delivery across multiple locations
  • Knowledge and understanding of operational risk and the standards applicable
